This Module has two Units namely Statistic and Research Methods. Statistic Unit deals with presentation of data into Tables and various graphs. It also covers different sampling techniques used for research. Finally the unit unveils the simple statistical analysis mainly focusing on measures of central tendency and dispersion.

The second Unit of this Module introduces the importance of research in agriculture, its designs in experiment and methods used for recording the data. The topic is an input to the another Module called Project Work where the students perform a small research.

The Module was developed by Mr. Govinda Prasad Sharma who resigned from the College of Natural resources in the beginning of year 2010. He had painstakingly developed the content that needs appreciation. Except with few editions on measures of dispersion, all notes are his original ones.

I hope it would serve not only to first year Diploma students but also the recently introduced In-service Degree students.
